The Newmarket National Ten-Minute Play Festival seeks to fill design positions for our annual Festival in July 2020 in the town of Newmarket, Ontario, forty minutes north of Toronto. We have positions available in the following areas:
Responsibilities include developing designs, coordinating with the directors and festival management before and during the rehearsal period, handling and tracking of budget and rentals, carpentry and sewing skills. A valid G license and vehicle are not required but would be helpful.
Rehearsals begin the last week of June with performance dates July 20-26, 2020.
The Newmarket National Ten-Minute Play Festival is a Canadian Actors Equity Association production under the Festival Policy. This is a profit-share production. The festival is in its fourth year, and in the previous three years, 100% of the box office was paid out to shareholders.
While some billeting options are available, we cannot guarantee billeting; but Newmarket (just north of Toronto) is readily accessible via public transit (see "Getting Here") and we have an extremely popular ride sharing program that we are looking to enhance in 2020.
Those interested should send their resume and portfolio of previous work to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
