Join 14 of this year's National Play Festival Competition finalists for short readings from some of their other work.

Ask questions!  Find out the themes they explore that give them a uniquely Canadian perspective .

Each reading coordinates with that author's play performance in a particular pod.

This year's recipients of the Playwrights' Progress Awards will be announced after the  the last performance of the festival on Sunday, July 28th.

We're told that it isn't easy to spot a playwright in the thickets who throng to the festival, so  with the help of the venerable Olde Village Free House, we'll help you find the playwright in their native habitat--the pub.  We can't guarantee you'll always spot the playwrights nesting there, but, if you do, it's your chance to join in some enlivening conversation during the happy hour we've reserved for them.  Come on over for a cup or two of comfort and some stirring confabulation!
